Yes, we offer two removal options to make your upgrade as seamless as possible:

Council Collection Service We can move your existing bed to the curb for council pickup. Please note that council regulations require items to be placed out no more than 24 hours before your scheduled collection date, so you'll need to arrange your council pickup beforehand and let us know the date.

Waste Facility Disposal We can take your old bed directly to a local waste facility for immediate disposal. This service costs approximately $200 per mattress (facility fees) plus our standard delivery charge.

If you'd like to arrange removal, please mention it when placing your order so we can coordinate the logistics with your delivery.

Does the bed require any assembly?

Therapist Choice beds are delivered fully assembled and can be set up in just a few minutes, making the process quick and straightforward. To make the setup even easier, we have step-by-step video guides available online. You'll simply need to remove the bed from the box, attach the 6 adjustable legs, and plug it into the wall outlet.

What happens if the motors stop working?

Therapist Choice adjustable beds are equipped with premium German-designed dual motors, delivering an impressive 6,000 Newtons of force. These motors are engineered for exceptional performance, operating at an ultra-quiet 50 dB. Built to last, our motors undergo rigorous testing for over 5,000 cycles, ensuring they function reliably for more than 10 years with daily use.
If, after 10 years, you find that the motors need replacing, they can be easily purchased directly from our website for just $90 each. The replacement process is simple and can be completed in seconds without the need for a technician. If you require a replacement motor during the warranty period, contact us and we can post you a replacement free of charge or arrange for a technician to replace the motor at your residence. Travel fee applies.

Which aged care providers do you work with?

We accept a variety of payment methods including credit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and NDIS funding. Additionally, Support at Home packages can be utilized for purchases, making it convenient for aged care recipients.

Is it safe to use an electric blanket with a Therapist Choice adjustable bed?

Absolutely! You can safely use an electric blanket with your adjustable bed without placing layers between the blanket and mattress. Ensure the blanket is plugged into a separate outlet to avoid interference with the bed's motor or massage functions. For your safety, always switch off the blanket before sleeping if it lacks an automatic shut-off timer.

What size sheets do I need for my new adjustable mattress?

You can use the same size sheets as your new Therapist Choice bed. However, it's important to ensure that the sheets have a depth of 40-50cm to provide enough fabric for each side of the mattress to move freely without coming loose during adjustments.

Does Therapist Choice have a physical showroom?

No, we operate exclusively online to focus on delivering premium materials, evidence-based designs, and expert guidance. You can schedule an OT assessment or a free in-home bed trial, supported by our 30-night comfort exchange and extensive warranties.

Can you help me schedule an Occupational Therapy assessment and report?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we have a large network of independent Occupational Therapists available at short notice who can conduct assessments and provide detailed reports. Our OT reports are fully compliant with various funding programs including Support at Home, Restorative Care, End of Life funding, NDIS, and other government support schemes. Please contact our support team to arrange an appointment that suits your schedule and location. You are under no obligation to purchase through us as a result of us coordinating your OT assessment. OT's do not receive additional financial incentive or otherwise. OTs do provide recommendations from competitors.

How long does it take to schedule an Occupational Therapy appointment and report?

Typically, we can arrange an Occupational Therapy assessment within 7 days.
For faster turnaround, we also offer compliant reports through physiotherapist assessments, which can be scheduled on even shorter notice. Please note that physiotherapist assessments are specifically for bed recommendations and do not cover other household items or modifications.
After your appointment, reports are typically submitted within 5-10 business days. During this period, we can assist with registration with your chosen aged care or NDIS provider to streamline the approval process.
Urgent cases: Depending on the urgency—for example, after discharge from hospital—we may be able to triage your appointment to expedite the process. Please contact us to discuss your circumstances further.

What are your fees for mobile Occupational Therapy appointments at home for aged care and NDIS?

The complexity of your health status and requirements will affect the total number of hours required.

 • 2-3 hours (includes assessment, travel, and report writing)
 • Limited to one item only (i.e., bed assessment)
 • Does not include home modifications
